Usergroups and Custom Titles
« on: August 26, 2005, 02:48:03 PM »
1) Create a new usergroup.
2) Fill in the title and description, but leave the custom title field blank. Set the permissions to want you want.
3) Click Add Promotion and select the user group you created (I name mine Custom Title or something like that).
4) Type in the number of posts that you want users to have before they can get a custom title.
5) Select "Posts" in the Promotion Strategy box. Select Primary Usergroup in the Usergroup Type box.
6) You\'re all set! You can also use this to allow users permission to post in certain forums.

OK, I had to overcome an error due to the vbgarage hack but finally got rid of it.  I am working on this now and will let you know.

Two suggestions: 1, don\'t include the 20\'s on the forum leaders list, because I have a feeling the forum leaders list may get to be HUGE, and 2, make it so that after level 3 you can have a custom title... we may have to up the post count as the forums get popular.
Other than that, great work!
