Mouse problems HELP!!! Its driving me NUTS!!
« on: December 09, 2006, 02:03:19 PM »
OK, I have a major problem!!

I just got a new hp desktop with windows well i also wanted to run linux red hat 5. I went out and got an extra 250 gig hd just for it. Well i have tried reinstalling the Os several times to fix the problem with no resolve.

When you are installing the mouse works fine but after install when you are using it normaly it pointer is the there but you can not see it. you just have to feel around blindly. Even on bootup its there wile the os is bootstraping but it goes away on login screen!!!!!!

Any ideas its really making me MAD

Sounds like maybe a glitch in the drivers somewhere.

Are you sure you mean RH5?  That would be a REALLY outdated version.  I believe 9 is the last RedHat distro pre-enterprise editions.  Also, the Fedora version is a great RH replacement and all would have much more current drivers.

Even RH9 is very outdated.  What you want is Fedora Core latest release.  Fedora is RedHat\'s continuation of the freeware product.
This link should have everything you need - Info, free download, etc...

Once you get that downloaded and installed, let\'s see then what issues arrise if any.
