Command to List All Detected Hard Drives
« on: March 31, 2008, 09:44:46 AM »
I am installing a secondary hard drive and working through Bash (SSH command prompt).  I forgot the command to list all hard drives that are detected by the OS.

Try this

fdisk -l

That will list all drives.

I do not think you are wrong.  "df" is another way to list all drives.  The difference in df vs  fdisk -l is that df lists more virtual drives but  fdisk -l lists more physical devises.
