Hopefully somebody will answer this soon, I deal in ethernet so I don\'t have much experience with modems. Sorry.

Help me to Configure Modem - LG CDMA USB

I don\'t have any knowledge of the phone. You need to know all your settings (IRQ, Port, etc...) before you can actually connect.

It does sound a little weird that if it is indeed DETECTING your modem that it is not at least using generic drivers so you can get on the net to get what you need.

I do know that RedHat 9 is NOTORIOUS for not being user-friendly, but I have not used Fedora. You might want to try something as simple as going to Mandrake or SuSE unless you are actually running a web server as that is the only reason I know of for running RedHat.

Sorry couldn\'t help further.
