SSH Timeout Setting
« on: December 23, 2006, 04:30:29 PM »
I have a web server that I use SSH (Putty) to connect via SSH2 protocol.  There appears to be an idle timeout setting of 5 minutes or so with it.  I want it to be allowed to remain idle for at least 30 minutes.  How can I change this?

Set session keepalive packets in puTTY

If you are using puTTY, go into the settings under Connection and set the keepalive setting there.  I put mine at 20 seconds which seems to work fine.
