Google Answers vs Yahoo Answers
« on: January 15, 2006, 01:14:08 AM »
Google Answers charge while Yahoo Answers are free.  What\'s up with that?

Also, this is just one of many things lately that Yahoo seems to be doing better than Google.

Google Answers vs Yahoo Answers

Yahoo doesn\'t charge... YET. Remember Yahoo Answers is still in Beta. As of right now a lot of "crap" questions have been posted to Yahoo Answers from kids that are almost making Yahoo Answers unusable by people who really DO need answers (ie. "Is it OK to masturbate in public?" got a lot of response but only one person answered "Who killed MLK?").

Google on the other hand charges "as little as $2.50" for their Answers making a place that is much more condusive to somewhere to ask a question that needs to be answered and for more serious questions.

I have not run into a situation where there has been information that I have needed that I have been unable to find on the internet so I don\'t know what Google\'s team would charge for it.

Curious though

Yes, unclear the future is for these "Answers" services.
(Sorry, just watched star wars the other night and still conjugating like Yoda.)
