No Software Patents
« on: August 21, 2005, 10:23:41 PM »
Since we are getting into politics so much in the forum about GAS PRICES, I figure thats OK, but let\'s come back to more geeky stuff like software.  Has anyone heard about the NO SOFTWARE PATENTS movement?  Apparently it is a big deal in Europe right now ...

From their site:

About The Campaign
This campaign against the legalization of software patents is independent from political organizations and parties. It has received the financial support of a small group of software and IT companies.

Are you for or against the movement and what impact do you think is at stake here if any?
