Flash Player 64-Bit
« on: January 30, 2006, 06:53:23 AM »
All of us with 64-bit processors have been waiting forever (or so it seems that way) for a 64-bit version of Flash player.

I have heard there is either a version that has made it out or a BETA version of the player.

Anyone know anything of this?

Based on the short time frame between announcing Flash Player 8 and Flash Player 8.5, we decided to work on developing a Linux version for Flash Player 8.5, which will ship after the Windows and Mac versions.

We have not yet announced plans to develop a 64-bit player on Linux.

Seems like Macromedia is sort of dissing you 64-bit guys in the Flash arena. There are people working on stuff tho. Check out GplFlash. God, I love open-source.
Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it. -- Linux learns.
