Auth Fedora Core against Active Directory
« on: September 28, 2005, 08:55:33 AM »
I need to figure out how to set up a Linux host on Active Directory.

I\'m running Fedora Core 2 and have an extensive install at my disposal.

I have my DNS, DHCP, Active Directory,  running on a Windows 2003 Server
in my Test/Lab env.

I understand i need to install Windows Services for UNIX,

its the specific config i am looking for input on.

I know Linux will be using LDAP, because Active Directory already uses it.

Anyone have any advice???

Thanx

I don\'t know what level of interaction you need between platforms, but I would be willing to bet that LDAP is the way to go if using AD.  I do not have much experience with Active Directory as I tend to avoid it as much as possible.

Using winbind with SAMBA? Seems like a good approach. Best of luck.
