Greetings, I have been a software engineer for 20 years, I mainly work on database and communications software like TCP/IP.

I am currently working on Samba 3.0.22, and having some difficulty getting write permission on shares, when connecting from a Windows client.

Nice to meet you Joncamp :)  and welcome to the boards!  Sounds like you have quite a bit of knowledge.  Please let us know if there is any way we can improve Linux Boards to be the best Linux Resource for you.
