Technical / Help with wine
« Last post by Hollow on September 20, 2011, 06:38:56 PM »
Im a brand new Linux user. Just installed it a few days ago. I want to play some of my Games on it, and I've heard wine is a good way to do that. But i tried to dispose it and get it to work, but I'm lost. Completely lost. I'm trying to play Warcraft 3 on it. I want to play starcraft 2 on it too, but I wanna start small. I didn't realize how little Linux works with outside software. I'm sure theres some way to get it to run smoothly and stop driving me up a wall, but I don't know it. Step by step instructions would really help and would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time and any little advice you have.

I have a twitter account but don't use it that much.  What I will do is use the RSS feed from your twitter link and use RSS Dog to post the latest tweets here on this page.  Maybe that will help for reference for others who stumble across this page.

Pretty cool. Thanks!

Networks and Clusters / Error: named[9925]: unexpected RCODE (REFUSED) resolving
« Last post by dynaweb on September 23, 2010, 12:28:51 PM »
I was checking through my /var/log/messages log file on my server today and noticed a series of error messages showing up:

Code: [Select]
named[9925]: unexpected RCODE (SERVFAIL) resolving (reverse IP here)
named[9925]: unexpected RCODE (REFUSED) resolving (reverse IP here)
named[9925]: unexpected RCODE (REFUSED) resolving (reverse IP here)

Anyone know what this could be?  Is it something that I need to fix?

Hi dynaweb,

Glad to help. Please do let us know if you have any questions or problems down the road.

FYI: I would also recommend following us on Twitter (if you have a Twitter account) because we update any potential service issues their to keep folks informed. We've had a few minor blips over the past few days that could have contributed to what you were experiencing.

Thanks for the info.  I know the server was not down, so reason #1 or #2 must be the case.  My server does run mod_security, and along with the problem only occurring a couple times on a temporary basis, I am leaning to reason #2.  The ruleset we use is the standard modsec2 default.  I will have to check through the log files to see what could have possibly set it off -- if in fact it was the case of too many mod_security violations triggering the csf/lfd to ban the proxy for a while.

Thanks for your new service.  I am sure it will be successful!
