Positive Feedback for SuSE 10
« on: October 15, 2005, 08:54:44 AM »
Novell has recently released SuSE Linux 10, its first distro built under its community based OpenSuSE development operation. Besides all the obligatory packages, such as the latest versions of KDE and GNOME desktop environments, the Firefox and Opera web browsers, OpenOffice, etc., it includes some 1,500 open-source packages and programs that can be optionally installed. SuSE Linux 10 is generally getting very favorable reviews. It delivers the goods for Linux enthusiasts as well as ordinary desk top users. For example, it comes with all the drivers for common modern accessories, such as USB drives and Wi-Fi equipment, including the 802.11a, 802.11b, and 80211.g protocols.
