Help with wine
« on: September 20, 2011, 06:38:56 PM »
Im a brand new Linux user. Just installed it a few days ago. I want to play some of my Games on it, and I've heard wine is a good way to do that. But i tried to dispose it and get it to work, but I'm lost. Completely lost. I'm trying to play Warcraft 3 on it. I want to play starcraft 2 on it too, but I wanna start small. I didn't realize how little Linux works with outside software. I'm sure theres some way to get it to run smoothly and stop driving me up a wall, but I don't know it. Step by step instructions would really help and would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time and any little advice you have.

I personally do not have much experience using wine on Linux, but my brother does.  I know a good place to start is here http://www.winehq.org/
Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it. -- Linux learns.
